Charlotte Hughes, daughter of Candy and Tony Roper of Abbeville, S.C., and Jared Stroup, son of Gavin and Janice Stroup of Palmerton, were wed on Friday, April 13 in Greenwood, S.C.

The Rev. Jason Wilson officiated the ceremony. Benjamin Sprouce was the vocalist.The bride was given in marriage by her son, Dawson Hughes. Shanna Sutherland, Abbeville, was the maid of honor.The bridegroom chose his brothers, Shane and Travis Stroup, to serve as best men. Ushers were Dusty, Logan and Hayden Kresge, and Derbe Stroup, all of Palmerton.A reception was held at Sundance Gallery in Greenwood, S.C., followed by a wedding trip to Florida.The new Mrs. Stroup is a graduate of Hedingham High School. She completed her cosmetology education at Town & Country in London, England.She is self-employed as a cosmetologist.Mr. Stroup is a graduate of Palmerton Area High School. He is employed as a contractor for Town & Country in Greenwood, S.C.The newlyweds reside in Greenwood.
