Seven three-foot by five-foot Pennsylvania State flags were presented to Dan Repsher, assistant principal of Lehighton Area High School by State Representative Doyle Heffley.

"I'm a graduate of Lehighton schools and I am happy to see one fly at each one of the buildings," said Heffley.

The request for Pa. State flags was coordinated by members of the Lehighton American Legion Auxiliary Unit 314, Lehighton.

"I knew that Doyle would come through," said Anthony.

The flags show the state seal and will fly beneath the American flag around the clock at East Penn, Franklin, Mahoning, and Shull-David Elementary school, Lehighton Area Middle School, Lehighton Area High School and the Administration Building.

"Despite budget cuts, I was able to provide Pa. State flags to the schools," said Heffley. Heffley said that there is a small budget set aside to provide flags to schools and fire departments," said Heffley. "I try to oblige whenever I can."

"The flags replace the tattered flags that were flying at the school," said Joe Hauser, supervisor of plant operations at Lehighton Area School District.
