It was just another day at the office for Pleasant Valley's Kelecia Harris and Keegan Bray.

Harris won all four of the events she competed in and helped her Lady Bears defeat Lehighton, 82-68 in Mountain Valley Conference track action. Her male teammate, Bray, did his part by taking all three of the sprints en route to an 87-63 victory for the boys.

Despite the chilly and windy weather, Harris won the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes with relative ease. She defeated Lehighton's Sage Terembula in both races. She won the 100 by more than half of a second and took the 200 by almost two seconds.

"I am actually pretty happy with my times," said the senior. "Every time I run I am getting a little better. I recently broke the school record (in the 200), so I am pretty happy with the way I have been running. And in the 100, while it isn't my personal record, it was the fastest I have run this year."

Harris did her thing in her two field events as well. She topped Terembula once again in the long jump, winning with a leap of 15-8 12. It was almost a foot and five inches further than Terembula. Harris had a little bit of a tougher time in the triple jump. She edged out teammate Jessica Lewis by just four inches, although it was her last event of the day.

"I think I could have done a little better (in the long jump)," Harris admitted. "I'll just look at today as an off day. Still, I am happy I jumped a good enough distance to help my team out."

Pleasant Valley's Kiasia Dunbar also won multiple events. She took home both hurdles events.

Though she placed second to Harris in three events, Terembula did win gold in the 400-meter relay. Teammate Gwen Remaley was the only Lady Indian to win two events on the day. She won both the shot put and the discus with throws of 35-5 and 97-8 respectively.

Meanwhile, Bray was the story on the boys' side. Although he didn't beat Lehighton's Montero Thompson by much, he did manage to win the 100 and 200-meter dashes. He then topped teammate Nick Corrales by more than a second and a half in the 400-meter.

said Bray after winning his last event in the 200. "I think I could have done better. The wind might have helped me a little bit, but my starts weren't that good. All in all I think I did pretty decent.

"My starts are something I have to work on a little bit more. I have been trying to work on them, but they haven't been going as well as I would like. I am trying to change my feet and find what's comfortable for me. It's a work in progress and today was another test day."

Fellow Bear John Wathen followed with victories in the 800 and 1600 races. Wathen seemed to run with a purpose and defeated his next best opponent by more than one-and-a-half and three seconds respectively.

Leading the way on the boys' side for Lehighton was Tyler Crum. Crum won the long jump with a jump of 20-7, came in second in the triple jump, and was a member of the winning 400 relay team.

"I thought I had a good day," Crum said. "My jumping was pretty good. I finally hit 20 feet, so I am happy with that. It was my best jump of the year.

"I think we did really well in the 400. We missed our personal record by like .2 seconds."
