The Summit Hill borough announced that it expects to receive its final reimbursement of $150,000 from Representative Doyle Heffley's office via the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Project (RACP). Currently, only $1,100,000 of the $1,250,000 has been reimbursed to the borough for the RACP grant, which was authorized in 2004 and awarded in July 2008. The borough used the funds to help build the new Summit Hill Fire Company and Borough Hall/Police Station. Officials pointed out that contract compliance issues and other litigations resulted in reimbursement delays. Going over RACP paperwork are from left Michael Kokinda, Borough Council President; Susan Gibiser, secretary/treasurer; and Timm Berger, District Office Manager, Rep. Heffley's office.
