An 18-year-Tamaqua male suffered multiple injuries Monday night when he was a victim of a slashing.

Randy Lee James Gilson, 223 W. Rowe St., Tamaqua, was involved in an altercation with two 14-year-old males at 8:38 that evening. One of the youths allegedly pulled a knife and slashed Gilson's left arm and chin.Gilson was transported to St. Luke's University Hospital-Coaldale Campus in the Tamaqua Area Community Ambulance.The juvenile offender was taken into custody and committed to the Berks County Juvenile Detention Center, charged with one felony count of aggravated assault and three counts of simple assault.
