Burglaries probed

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating several burglaries in recent days.

Troopers said the home of Eddie Gonzalez, 60, of Lucretius Trail, Towamensing Trails, Albrightsville, Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, was entered sometime between Oct. 21-31. A lock was broken on a rear sliding door to gain entry. The home was ransacked and various items taken, troopers said.A garage at the Keegan residence at 45 Chickasaw Drive, Effort, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, was entered sometime on Oct. 28 between midnight and 2 p.m. Various items were stolen from the building.A garage at the UFO Custom Cycle, located along Smith Rd., in Penn Forest Township, was entered sometime between Oct. 24 and 29. Taken was a Honda generator, Honda compressor and a Miller welder. The property, valued at $2,500, is owned by Scott Peter Duane, 46, of Jim Thorpe, troopers said.The Penn Kidder Senior Center, located along Smith Rd., in Penn Forest Township, was entered sometime betweeen 1:30 and 5 p.m. on Oct. 29. After entering the building a snack machine was damaged. Damages were estimated at $500. The listed victim is Jeffrey Steencken, 53, of Ringold.Anyone with information concerning any of these incidents is asked to call troopers at (570) 646-2271.
