Weatherly church will be honoring volunteers during Oct. 9 service

Zions Lutheran Church, Third and Fell streets, Weatherly, will have a special service to honor the many people in the area who give of themselves by volunteering their time and talent to the citizens of the area through the many varied service organizations on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 3 p.m.

The church is inviting any member of a volunteer organization to participate. Little League, Bitty Basketball and other youth organizations are encouraged to attend. Groups who have uniforms are asked to wear them.Special music will be presented by Zions choir and musicians and a message of commitment will be given by Zions Pastor, Dawn Richie.Light refreshments will be served at a social hour following the service.
