Twenty more properties within the boundaries of Tamaqua Area School District had their real estate values increased by the Schuylkill County Assessment Appeals Board after hearings held at the county courthouse on district appeals.

To date 54 buildings had their market value and assessment raised, adding $1,742,743 in assessed valuation which will mean more tax money for the district, boroughs and townships which exist within the school's boundary.

The increases levied include:

Property owned by Joseph B. Walker and Beth L. Walch at 2009 Valley Road, West Penn Township; market value increased from $91,620 to $170,852 and assessment from $45,810 to $85,425 for an increase in assessment of $39,615.

American Family Service Fundation, 141 Claremont Avenue, Hometown, Rush Township; market value increased from $124,200 to $165,554 and assessment from $62,100 to $82,775, for an increase of $20,675.

Dean and Elaine Gedulig, 226 Owl Creek Road, Tamaqua; market value increased from $62,580 to $85,138 and assessment from $31,290 to $42,570, an increase of $11,280.

Henry D. and Lisa M. Woods, 505 E. Union St., Tamaqua; market value increased from $74,740 to $132,436 and assessment from $37,370 to $66,220 an increase of $28,850.

Dennis E. and Judith A. Graham, 1142 Valley Road, Walker Township; market value increased from $84,540 to $132,436 and assessment from $42,270 to $66,220, an increase of $23,950.

Suzanne McFadden, 1015 Spring Road, Andreas, West Penn Township; market value increased from $107,640 to $139,066 and assessment from $53,820 to $69,535, an increase of $15,715.

Kyle J. Rehatchek, 1724 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold; market value increased from $69,820 to $128,750 and assessment from $34,910 to $64,375, an increase of $29,465.

Jonathan Herwitt, 1352 Laurel Land, New Ringgold; market value increased from $87,300 to $148,996 and assessment from $43,650 to $74,500, an increase of $30,850.

Kraft Realty Company, Orwigsburg, owners of property at 82 Hunter St., Tamaqua; market value increased from $65,800 to $122,036 and assessment from $32,900 to $61,020, an increase of $28,120.

Larry and Sheila Bistany, of Ambler, owners of property at 20 Park Drive, Oakwood Section, Lake Hauto, Rush Township; market value increased from $97,500 to $156,088 and assessment from $48,750 to $78,045, an increase of $29.295.
