Katelin Rose Wirth, granddaughter of Hilbert and Fran (Pratcher) Haas, Lehighton, has been awarded the Mansfield (University) Alumni Scholarship.

A 2011 graduate of the Wilson Jr. Sr. High School in Tioga, Pa., Katelin is a full-time student at the university.She was an active member of the FBLA at Wilson Jr.-Sr. High School and was parliamentarian of her school's FBLA chapter. She also placed as a winner in the FBLA Regional event of 2011 and was chosen to attend the Leadership conference in Hershey, for two years.Katelin is the daughter of Roger and Susan (Haas) Wirth, and the niece of Kenneth Haas of Lehighton. She is also the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wirth of Schnecksville. She has a sister, Chloe, a student at Wilson Jr. Sr. High School.
