The engagement of Rhonwen L. Peters to Matthew M. Woodard has been announced by her parents.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Brett and Sandra Peters of Aquashicola. She is a 2007 graduate of Palmerton Area High School. She recently received a bachelor of science degree in psychology from American International College. She is currently employed as the assistant field hockey coach at Muhlenberg College in Allentown.The prospective bridegroom is the son of Michael and Pamela Woodard of St. Louis Park, Minn. He is a graduate of St. Louis High School and received a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and psychology from American International College in 2009. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in sports business management while on staff as an assistant ice hockey coach at Manhattanville College in Purchase, N.Y.
