Northwestern girls sweep

The Northwestern girls posted a sweep in a multi-team cross country meet to highlight Thursday's scholastic sports results.

CROSS COUNTRYNorthern Lehigh-Northwestern-Catasauqua-Saucon Valley-Southern Lehigh-PalisadesThe Northwestern girls' cross country team went a perfect 5-0 against their Colonial League competition.Six Lady Tigers finished in the top ten. They were led by Emma Kemmerer in third place with a time of 20:55. Teammates Erica Sarnicky, Hailey Yost, Natalie Boehm, Rachele Cerrone and Lauren Alden also placed in the top ten. Sam Corcoran paced Northern Lehigh (2-3) in seventh.Northwestern's Tyler Stelmack won the boys' event with a time of 17:01.
