Troopers said a 1998 Nissan Sentra was driven westbound when, for unknown reasons, the left front tire became flat. The driver attempted to continue west with the flat tire, while crossing bridge over the Schuylkill River. The driver then lost control and the vehicle collided with a concrete bridge wall with the right side.

The bike scraped the ground as Thorn swerved the vehicle to the right traveling off the road onto the berm. The bike then entered onto gravel before Thorn swerved back to the left and re-entered the road. The left side of the bike then scraped the ground and rolled over onto the left side, slid about 70 feet before coming to rest on the south berm.
Thorn sustained a moderate injury and was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville.
She was cited for driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed.
