The 17th Annual Jim Thorpe Halloween Parade will take place on Sunday, Oct. 30.

The parade, which is a Jim Thorpe Lions Club project, is bigger than last year. It starts at 4 p.m. at Jim Thorpe Area High School and will proceed south on Center Street to 9th Street and turn onto North Street. It will end at 2nd and Center streets, where buses will take parade participants to Memorial Hall for refreshments and the award ceremony.

The parade will begin forming at 3 p.m. at the high school.

First, second and third place awards will be given to floats and organizations at Memorial Park.

Everyone is invited to view the parade, which will pass the judges at St. Joseph's Church on North Street.
