Two Allentown real estate agencies, who own properties in Schuylkill County, won appeals before the Assessments Appeals Board to reduce the market value and assessment on several properties because they are in dire need of repair.

Apartments and Acquisitions, LP., received reductions on the following:

Property at 168 Kimber St., New Philadelphia, market value reduced from $24,540 to $3,784 and assessment from $12,270 to $1,890, a reduction in assessment of $10,380 on which the property tax rate is computed.

Property at 304 Cottage Ave., Tamaqua, market value reduced from $59,160 to $21,760 and assessment from $29,580 to $10,880, a reduction in assessment of $18,700.

Property at 74-76 Water St., New Philadelphia, market value reduced from $7,500 to $2,360 and assessment from $3,750 to $1,180, a reduction in assessment of $2,570.

Property at 308-310 W. Market St., Pottsville, market value reduced from $72,000 to $37,840 and assessment from $36,000 to $18,970, a reduction in assessment of $17,080.

Property at 825 Mahantongo St., Pottsville, market value reduced from $354,240 to $108,790 and assessment from $177,120 to $54,395, a reduction in assessment of $122,725.
