Three S. Hill residents facing drug charges

Raids conducted Thursday in Summit Hill by the agents narcotics division of the Pa. Attorney General's Office and the Carbon County Drug Task Force netted three arrests.

Charged were:• Alexander "Butchie" Sommers, 46, who was charged with acquisition or obtaining possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.• Wendy Kaminitsky, 33, who faces charges from offenses on Oct. 6 and Sept. 15.She is also facing charges by the Lehighton Police Department from Aug. 27.• Marcel Mamouzette Jr., 47, who faces multiple charges from offenses on Oct. 6 and Sept. 15.All were arraigned before District Judge Edward Lewis of Jim Thorpe. All have hearings tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 12.Sommers has been placed in Carbon County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000, 10 percent bail.Kaminitsky was placed in the prison in lieu of $25,000, 10 percent bail.Mamouzette is in prison also in lieu of $25,000, 10 percent bail.Sommers was arraigned at 7 p.m. Thursday before Lewis.Kaminitsky was arraigned at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.Charges stemming from the Oct. 6 incident include two counts of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, both felonies, and a misdemeanor charge of possession of a controlled substance.From the Sept. 15 incident, Kaminitsky has two charges of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver.Charges filed by Lehighton borough police from Aug. 27 include DUI, driving with a suspended license, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.Mamouzette also was arraigned at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.Charges in the Thursday arrest are two counts of manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and possession of a controlled substance.Charges filed by the Attorney General's Office for offenses allegedly committed on Sept. 22 include six counts of the manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver, and three counts of possession of a controlled substance.
