Marian High School will host a car show at the Eagle Rock Resort Oktoberfest from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15. The show is open to all cars, trucks, and motorcycles, especially those that are antique, classic, or special interest. Proceeds will benefit the school's scholarship fund for needy students. Dash plaques will be presented to the first 100 registered vehicles and trophies will be awarded in various categories. In addition, vehicle owners participating in the show will be eligible for free door prizes. The Hazle Park Car Club is endorsing the event and encourages area car clubs to participate. John Nonnemacher, chairman of the event, said "We are expecting a large turnout because this is the last car show in the area before the vehicle owners cover up their 'rides' for the winter." Sister Bernard Agnes, principal, added "This is a great way to enjoy the fall foliage and help our needy students at the same time." The Oktoberfest will feature arts and crafts, food and beverages, live music, games, and hayrides. Eagle Rock is located on Route 924 in Humboldt.
