Two Tamaqua men entered guilty pleas to criminal charges in Schuylkill County court received jail sentences from Judge Charles M. Mller.

James William Kunkel, 29, of Ryan Avenue, on three counts of selling a controlled substance from his home, was sentenced to serve three to six years in a state correctional institution with credit for serving 224 days in the county prison.He also must pay $300 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $150 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA), $160 to Tamaqua Police Department Drug Task Force, $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab and pay a fine of $300.On a charge of criminal use of a cell phone was given a concurrent sentence of three to 24 months The citations were imposed by Tamaqua Police Department.Derek Anthony Shellhamer, 24, of 307 Arlington St., on charge of driving under the combined influence of alcohol and drugs was sentenced to serve a flat 30 days in the county prison beginning Monday, Nov. 28, at 9:30 a.m., followed by four years and 11 months on probation in the Intermediate Punishment Program (IPP), including 90 days on house arrest and pay a $12 fee for electronic monitoring.He was also ordered to pay a fine of $1,500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $100 to Catastrophe fund, attend the alcohol highway safe driving school, driver's license is suspended 18 months and when restored an ignition interlock device must be installed on the wheel of the car he is driving for 12 months which will monitor if he intakes any alcoholic beverages.On a charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle owned by Anthony Zelonis which involved in an accident with a parked vehicle on the Tuscarora Park State Road in Rush Township was ordered to make restitution of $18,586.68 to Hartford Insurance Company, $665 to the property owner, pay a fine of $25 and court costs and serve 12 months probation to run concurrent with the DUI sentence. On a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was sentenced to make restitution of $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center and serve 12 months on probation to run concurrent. He received credit for serving 19 days in the county prison. Shellhamer was cited bty Patrolman Corey Herring.Other pleasNicholas Hunter Lambert, 25, of 338 Washington St., Freeland, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, was placed on probation 12 months, and ordered to pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, and $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. On a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana was given a 30 day concurrent probation sentence. Lambert was cited by Rush Township Partrolman Scott Cramer at a motel.Jennifer Tess Kramer, 34, Pottsville, on a charge of hindering apprehension of a person wanted by police and obstructing the administration of law was placed on probation 12 months, and pay $50 to CJEA. Kramer was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Eugene M. Yourey.Rebekah Sue Lipinski, 33, Pottsville, on charges of retail theft from Walmart Store in Saint Clair and criminal conspiracy was placed n probation 12 months, pay $50 to CJEA and make restitution of $175.77 to Walmart. She was cited by Patrolman Martin Sterner.On charges of possession of a controlled subtance and drug paraphernalia was sentenced to serve an additional 11 months on probation, pay $50 to CJEA, and $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. Lipinski was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Eugene M.Yourey.Tobin Allen Metz, Schuylkill Haven, on a charge of possesion of drug paraphernalia was placed on probation 12 months, pay $50 to CJEA, and $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. Meisner.Jesse Lee Rabbitz, 27, Schuylkill Haven, on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernaia was given credit for having served 33 days in the county prison and was placed on probation for 18 months, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, and $176 to Bethlehem Regional Lab.On a charge of public drunkenness was fined $25. Rabbitz was cited by Schuylkill Haven Patrolman Warren G Firing.Denette H. Williams, 28, Pottsvile, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was placed on probation 12 months, fined $100, and pay $100 to SAE fund. On a charge of restrictions on possession of alcoholic beverages in vehicle he was fined $100 and costs. Williams was cited by Pine Grove Sgt. Jeffrey Futchko.On a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol was given credit for spending 51 days in the county prison and was released on probation for six months to run concurrent, fined $1,000, pay $300 to SAE fund, $100 to Catastrophe fund, $50 to CJEA, and attend safety school. On a charge of driving while license suspended was fined $200 plus $50 costs.
