Thomas G. Hood, president of MMI Preparatory School, has announced the names of students who achieved Honor Roll status during the Fall 2011 quarter.

The Honor Roll recognizes sound academic performance each quarter. To earn a place on the Honor Roll, a student must have a cumulative average in all core subjects of 85.0, have attained an average of 70.0 or better in each course, have no "incompletes" at the end of the nine-week grading period, be enrolled in a complete schedule of courses, and have a satisfactory citizenship record.

The following local students have earned Honor Roll recognition for the first quarter of the 2011-2012 school year:

12th grade: Maria Boosalis, White Haven; Roderick Cook, Nesquehoning; Antonia Diener, Pocono Lake; and Christian Parsons, Kelayres.

11th grade: Casey McCoy, White Haven; Anjni Patel, Beaver Meadows; Devon Sherwood, Lehighton; and Gregory Yannes, White Haven.

10th grade: Alexander Haber, Tresckow; Hannah Lesitsky, Albrightsville; Eleni Moustardas, White Haven; and Kaitlyn Sitch, Weatherly.

Ninth grade: Gabriellia Becker, Lake Harmony; Kelsy Donaldson, White Haven; Eric Kabitzke, Jim Thorpe; and Haylee Kirschner, Pocono Lake.

Eighth grade: Andrew Haber, Tresckow; and Sarah Moyer, Bowmanstown.
