Recognizing Eldred Township's veterans

The Eldred Township Veterans Commission presented a Veterans Day program at the municipal building to honor and thank those brave men and women who have served in the armed forces. Lorraine Everett gave a history of Veterans Day and read off the names of those men of Eldred who fought in World War II who are still with us today. Helen Mackes thanked all the veterans who served, saying "We are so grateful." Marlene Brotzman gave the invocation and benediction and Janet Smith and Gladys Frable read patriotic poems and readings. They sang patriotic songs and recognized all those veterans that were in attendance and the branches of the service they served in.
