A deer and a car collided in a Schuylkill County crash.

State police at Frackville said William Whitecavage, 55, of Ringtown, was driving a 2003 Honda CRV westbound on Aristes Road, in Union Township, about 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9. He encountered a deer crossing the road and was unable to avoid it and struck the animal with the front end.Whitecavage was not injured but his vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and required towing, troopers said.
