Lehighton's Middle School football team recently posted a pair of wins in Mountain Valley Conference action.
The Indians defeated both Pocono Mountain West and East Stroudsburg North.
Lehighton posted a 42-32 victory over Pocono Mountain West to remain unbeaten on the season.
For the Indians, Wyatt Clements scored three touchdowns, one of them on an 80-yard kickoff return. Conner Frey, Tyler Cann and Jahmer Spencer also added touchdowns for Lehighton. Seth Van Fossen, Frey and Cann all accounted for conversions. Tegan Durashin had an outstanding game with over a 150 total rushing and receiving yards.
In a battle of Mountain Valley Conference unbeatens, Lehighton staged a huge rally to edge East Stroudsburg North, 28-20.
The Indians (8-0) trailed 20-0 in the second quarter before battling back. Wyatt Clements ran for three touchdowns for the Lehighton, including two in the fourth quarter to cap the comeback. A Tyler Cann to Teagan Durashin pass produced the other Indan score.
Clements' go-ahead TD came with 2:02 remaining in the game. Jahmir Spencer then recovered an ESN fumble with :42 left, allowing the Indians to run out the clock.
