State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the theft of money from a nursing home resident in Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Wanda Dixon, 87, of Pottsville, a resident at the Schuylkill Manor Nursing Home, 1000 Manor Rd., in Norwegian Township, reported $140 was taken from a night stand in her room.The theft occurred sometime between 9 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30, and 1 p.m. on Monday.Troopers are also probing a vehicle theft incident. Troopers said a black, with white rims, 2004 International singel axle trailer was stolen while parked along SR901 at Glenworth Road, in North Manheim Township, sometime between Oct. 8-14.The trailer, valued at $1,200, is owned by Mary Moyer, 47, of Cressona.
