Care about your health?
If so, then plan to attend a community health fair that will be co-sponsored by the Blue Mountain Health System and Palmerton Lions Club.
The health fair will be held at the Blue Mountain Community Services Center at 217 Franklin Avenue, Palmerton, from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
Those who attend can receive several health assessments, health screenings, chair massages, and opportunities to meet with representatives from Blue Mountain Health System and agencies from Carbon County and surrounding areas.
They will also receive information and education on a variety of health-related topics and services. In addition, there will also be a healthy cooking demonstration, chance to win one of several $25 gift certificates/door prizes for the Fireline Hotel, and an optional group walk at 11 a.m., weather permitting.
The health fair is for adults of all ages, and there is no charge to participate.
Community members are encouraged to donate their used eyeglasses or hearing aids during this event. A box will be available to place them in at the registration table.
Advance registration is preferred, but not required, and can be made by calling (610) 377-7070.
