State police at Lehighton reported on investigating a burglary, attempted break-in and theft incidents.

The burglary occurred at 150 Mountain Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County. A window was smashed to gain entry and power and phone lines were cut. Once inside the criminals removed two televisoins and a pressure tank. In the garage area they removed $6,000 worth of copper piping that was cut from the ceiling. Troopers declined to identify the homeowner. The incident occurred sometime between 2 and 3 p.m. on July 15.Troopers said someone attempted to break into the home of Anne Liese Donadt, 82, of 75 Rueben Circle, Palmerton, by using a flat instrument to the door frame of the back door. They were unsuccessful. The incident occurred sometime between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday, July 26.Troopers said unknown criminals damaged the 1991 Toyota Celica of Jazmin Lee Schaefer, 19, of Palmerton, while parked at Rock Hill Rails & Trails lot in Parryville. The criminals shatted the passenger side window and damaged the passenger side door lock mechanism. Damages were estimated at $450. They also took the victim's purse from inside the car. The incident occurred sometime between 5 and 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27.Henry Schlagel, 76, of 395 Kunkletown Rd., in Eldred Township, Monroe County, reported someone removed a 2006 Carter go-cart valued at $450 from his yard. The incident occurred sometime between 1 and 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28.Jessica Leonard, 29, of Kunkletown, Polk Township, Monroe County, reported someone removed a power washer and table saw from behind a shed on her property located at the intersection of Wier Mountain and Doney roads. The incident occurred sometime between July 1 and 28.Lorraine Agnes Everett, 82, of 4716 Correll Rd., in Kunkletown, Eldred Township, reported someone removed a black metal safe from her residence. The safe has "Godfrey Greenzweig" printed on it.
