Katelin Rose Wirth, granddaughter of Hilbert and Fran (Pratcher) Haas of Lehighton, has been selected to attend the FBLA Leadership Conference at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center in April.
Katelin is a senior at Wilson Junior-Senior High School in Tioga, Pa. and parliamentarian of her school's FBLA chapter. She placed as a winner in the FBLA regional event in the personal finance competition, her event in Hershey as well. The criteria for the personal finance competition, as set up by the Future Business Leaders of America, is to recognize students who "possess essential knowledge and skills related to financial issues and can analyze the rights and responsibilities of consumers, and apply knowledge to financial situations."
This is the second time Katelin has attended the leadership conference, as she was also selected as a freshman.
Katelin is the daughter of Roger and Susan (Haas) Wirth, of Tioga. She is the niece Kenneth Hass of Lehighton. She is also the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wirth of Schnecksville.
