The Mock Trial Team at Marian High School, Hometown defeated Allentown Central Catholic in competition to advance their team to Regional competition. The Regional competition will be held at the courthouse in Scranton on March 14. This will mark the fourth time Marian has advanced to this level. Schools included in the District competition are Palmerton, Nativity, Allentown Central Catholic and Bethlehem Liberty. District competition includes the counties of Carbon, Schuylkill, Lehigh, Northampton and Berks. The Mock Trial Team at Marian has been in existence for over 20 years, with Bernard Forgotch as advisor. Maria Montero, Keith Hoppes and attorney Jean Engler also assist with the team.
