Paper balloons will be on sale at the Jim Thorpe Market from July 1 to July 16 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS's) Light The Night Walk, a fundraiser to support patients with blood cancers.

Jim Thorpe Market wants to help out the community and support cancer patients.Each paper balloon will be $1, but patrons can donate more if they wish. The market will be giving 100 percent of the profits from the paper balloons to the society.The market hopes to sell 2000 balloons, the equivalent of raising $2000. If the market succeeds, a cashier has offered to donate eight inches of hair to the cause.
