From 4-6 p.m., Thursday, June 23, a free community meal will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, 365 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton. Enjoy a meal and fellowship.
The concert in the park at 7 p.m., Sunday, June 19 will be by the Nazareth Area Community Band. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy an evening of great entertainment. In the event of rain, the concert will be held in the Palmerton Borough Hall, 443 Delaware Ave.
Model Railroad Society
The Carbon Model Railroad Society will hold a Christmas in July Open House at 529 Ore St., Bowmanstown, on Saturday and Sunday, July 16-17, from 1-5 p.m. The main HO scale display is in various stages of completion and is an excellent learning tool. The clubs HO and N scale displays will also be in operation on the second floor. Admission is free. The building is air-conditioned. For more information, call Garry at (610) 826-6636.

Miller-Keystone Blood Center's recent bloodmobile drew 79 registrants, exceeding the goal of 75. Eighty units of blood were collected. A new procedure, scheduling donors on the Trima machines, kept both of them in use all day, and added 21 units to the 59 units of whole blood collected in the conventional manner. This visit was sponsored by Larry and Sandra Engle and held in Fellowship Hall at the First United Church of Christ.
The following donors reached gallon levels: Dale Smith, 5 gallons; Elizabeth Leshock and Joseph Parisi, 2 gallons. There were four first-time donors.
