Bicycle found, other incidents

State police at Lehighton are trying to find the owner of a bicycle found in Monroe County. Troopers also reported on other incidents.

A Huffy Maxx bike was found along Murphy Lane, in Polk Township, on Saturday, July 2. The owner may claim by calling troopers and providing proper identification.Troopers are investigating theft from vehicle incidents along SR903 at the White Water Rafting facility in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County.The vehicles of Roger Bowles, 33, of Walpole, Mass., Siva Gorthy, 55, and Sameer Kumar, 55, both of Parsippany, N.J., were entered sometime between 10:25 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 2. Entry was gained by smashing windows. Numerous items were stolen from the vehicles, troopers said.A home at 60 Pine Run Circle, in Penn Forest Township, was entered sometime between 2 and 3 a.m. on Monday, July 4. Entry was gained through a window with the criminals using a ladder. The house was rummaged through but nothing was apparently taken. The home is owned by the Haytas family of New Jersey, troopers said.Troopers are investigating an incident at the Hope Fellowship Mission, located at 26 Polk Township Road, in Kunkletown, Polk Township. Unknown criminals cut copper pipes from oil tanks located on the property. The incident occurred sometime between June 26 and July 2.Hollis Edward, 57, of 438 Pheasant Rd., in Saylorsburg, Ross Township, Monroe County, reported someone smashed his mailbox. The incident occurred sometime overnight of June 30 and July 1.Anyone with information concerning any of these incidents is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.
