Deputy sheriff resigns

Carbon County Commissioners on Thursday acted on a number of personnel matters:

Commissioners accepted the resignation of Jonathan Hill, deputy sheriff, effective Jan. 16, and the employment separation of Ross A. Heyer, part-time corrections officer, effective Dec. 15, 2010.Commissioners also granted seminar/training requests to Mark Nalesnik and Megan Fredericks of the county Emergency Management agency to attend the Eastern Area Evacuation Planning Workshop in Nazareth; Greg Mousseau and Jospeh Perilli of the Public Defender's office to attend the 2011 Motor Vehicle and DUI Seminar in King of Prussia at a cost of $315 per person conference fee.
