The American Cancer Society will host a Look Good, Feel Better makeover workshop from 4-6 p.m., Jan. 24, at the Carbon/Tamaqua Unit Office, 33 W. Ridge St., Lansford.

The session is free and open to all local female cancer patients actively undergoing cancer treatment.

During the session, trained cosmetologists will meet with patients to discuss ways of using makeup and accessories to minimize appearance-related side effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

Look Good, Feel Better is offered in a group setting, providing participants with cancer education, information and support.

Each woman will learn to apply makeup, using kits provided through the American Cancer Society's partnership with the Cosmetics, Toiletry and Fragrance Association and the National Cosmetology Association.

Seating is limited, so registration is required. To register, call 1-888-227-5445, option 1.

There are no charges or fees associated with the workshop.
