Eldred Township holds reogranization meeting

Eldred Township board of supervisors held its annual reorganization meeting Monday night and there were little to no changes made.

Clair Borger is chairman, Gretchen Gannon Pettit, vice chairman and Sharon Solt is secretary/treasurer. Michael Kaspzyck remains the township solicitor.Other appointments are: Hanover Engineering-engineer; Russ Kresge-alternate engineer; Clair Borger-Roadmaster; Hanover Engineering-sewage enforcement officer(s); Jennifer Lax-administrative assistant; Gretchen Gannon Pettit-clerk; Ellerslie Helm-zoning and codes officer (5 hours a day, 5 days a week until time warrants more time); Marilyn Ludgwig-building code official; Any certified third party-UCC inspection; Bruce Gower-UCC Joint Board of Appeals Committee member; Monroe County Tax Collection Committee (Berkheimer)-Earned Income Tax Collector; Earned Income Tax Appeals officer will be whoever is appointed by Monroe County; Gary Hoffman-Emergency Management Coordinator and Vacancy Board Chairman; Archie Craig, 1-year term, Helen Mackes, 4-year term and Richard Furler, 4-year term-Planning Commission members; Dan Lyons-Planning Commission solicitor; Traveler's Casualty and Surety Co. of America through H.A. Thompson for $200,000-Treasurer's Bond; Frank O'Donnell 1-year term-Zoning Hearing Board member; Sharon Solt-voting delegate to State Convention.Full-time and part-time township employees will receive a 2 percent increase with working supervisors subject to approval of auditors and benefits will remain the same as stated in the personnel handbook.Mileage rate is 51 cents per mile as per 2011 IRS rate.Kunkletown Vol. Fire Co. remains has the volunteer fire company covering Eldred Township and West End Ambulance as primary emergency ambulance covering Eldred or quickest responder.Monthly meetings will remain the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 7:30 p.m.PLGIT and First Niagra Bank will remain depositories for township funds.Gretchen Gannon Pettit is Open Records officer and Sharon Solt, Charles Phillips are CJER Regional Comprehensive Plan Committee members and Gannon Pettit is the alternate.
