"Double, double toil and trouble. Fire burn and cauldron bubble."

With apologies to Will Shakespeare, we aren't really looking for recipes for "eye of newt" or "toe of frog," but we are hoping that our readers are busy stirring up some wonderful recipes for the 24th Annual TIMES NEWS Cookbook and Recipe Contest.

Recipes must be received at the TIMES NEWS by midnight, Saturday, March 12, so there is still plenty of time to dig out your cauldron and whip up a tasty soup or stew, or a recipe in any of our other categories, and compete for over $900 in prizes.

Everyone who enters will receive a TIMES NEWS pizza cutter.

In addition to Soups & Stews, other categories for 2011 include Appetizers, Casseroles, Desserts, Main Dishes, Salads & Sides and Sandwiches.

Category winners will be notified by telephone on or before March 18, so be sure to include a daytime telephone number on each recipe submitted.

Winners in each category will receive a $50 grocery store gift card and a $50 gift card to Roadies Restaurant at Penn's Peak.

Category winners will be required to bring their finished winning dish to the TIMES NEWS office in Mahoning Township, where our panel of judges will sample each entry to determine a grand prize winner.

In addition to his or her prizes for winning first place in one this year's categories, the grand prize winner will receive a $100
