Pocono DUI arrests reported

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by officers over the past weekend.

On Friday, Oct. 16, about 1:23 a.m. officers were dispatched to assist Pocono Country Place security on a traffic stop where the driver was possibly intoxicated. The driver was identified as Manuel Martinez, 28, of Tobyhanna. Officers said it was determined that Martinez was under the influence. Also, an open can of beer was found wedged between the driver seat and center console. He will be charged with DUI.On Saturday, Oct. 17, at 4:38 a.m. officers with again dispatched to Pocono Country Place for another vehicle stop with an intoxicated male. On scene officers identified the driver as Joseph Robles, 42, of 7319 Meadowlake Drive, Tobyhanna. Officers said Robles was found to be under the influence and an open can of beer was found in the vehicle. He was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.On Sunday, Oct. 18, about 2:16 a.m. officers observed a Ford Taurus driving erratically along SR115 and Allegheny Drive. A vehicle stop was made and the driver identified as Tara M. Bobst, 24, of Lehighton. She was found to be under the influence and an open can of beer was found in the vehicle, police said.Bobst was taken to the county DUI center where she consented to a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.
