Pleasant Valley girls edge Stroudsburg

Pleasant Valley and Stroudsburg split a boys/girls doubleheader on Friday night. The Lady Bears picked up a tight win while the Mountaineer boys pulled away for a double digit victory.

GIRLS BASKETBALLStroudsburg-Pleasant Vy.Pleasant Valley closed the regular season with a thrilling 41-38 Mountain Valley Conference victory over Stroudsburg.Kelicia Harris sparked the Bears' attack with 14 points. Kasey Meckes added 13 points, six of them in the fourth quarter.The Mounties' Sarah Borden tied Harris for a game-high honors with 14 points.Pleasant Valley heads into next week's MVC playoffs with a record of 16-6 overall and 10-2 in the conference.STROUDSBURGSam.
