The engagement of Tara Ann Moran to Peter Joseph Semanoff, has been announced by their parents.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Terry and Mari Ann Moran of Fairbanks, Alaska. She is a 2004 graduate of Lathrop High School and a 2008 graduate of Eastern Oregon University. She attends the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where she is enrolled in the master's program for guidance and counseling.The prospective bridegroom is the son of Gene and Evelyn Semanoff of Lehighton. He is a 2002 graduate of Lehighton Area High School and a 2006 graduate of Lycoming College. He is serving in the U.S. Army as a field artillery captain at Fort Wainwright, Alaska.On Dec. 23, 2010, after a day of sightseeing in New York City, Peter proposed to Tara under the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree. The couple is planning to marry in the summer of 2012.
