Playing its third game in as many days, Northern Lehigh could have let fatigue catch up with it.

Instead, Tamaqua couldn't catch up with the Bulldogs' Devin Glose.Teaming with Jordan Waylen in the transition game, Glose pumped in 11 of his 13 points in the third quarter as No. Lehigh pulled away from the visiting Blue Raiders for a 65-41 non-league triumph Saturday night.The victory was the third in a row for the Bulldogs, who improved to 13-6, while Tamaqua dropped its seventh straight to fall to 4-16.The 'Dawgs weren't dragging their feet at the start, as they jumped out to a 20-14 lead after one quarter, but while they added to their advantage by pushing it to 11 at 32-21 at half, the pace slowed down a bit in the second stanza."This was our third game in as many nights, and I knew it could be a little sloppy, because we're tired," said Northern Lehigh Coach Jeff Miller. "I liked our early energy, then we kind of hit a lull."At halftime, we made some adjustments and tried to get some stops defensively, and we were able to put the game away from that point."Tamaqua got a pair of triples from senior Zach Lakitsky to open the second half to close within 34-27 with 6:46 left in the third period, but the Raiders then went stone cold, missing their next 14 shots.By the time junior Matthew Kurek broke the dry spell with a trey with 6:07 left in the game, the 'Dawgs had reeled off 23 consecutive points to blow it open at 57-27.Glose, a junior, did most of the damage on the fast break, as Waylen, the 'Dawgs' leading scorer at 14 points a game, found him in transition. Waylen finished with 12 points, eight rebounds and seven assists of his own."Devon made things go for us, and that opens things up for Jordan," said Miller. "Jordan is becoming a stat filler for us. Everybody knows he's a shooter, but he wants to be a complete player. That makes the people around him better, and makes us a better team."The Raiders didn't match up with the 'Dawgs in the paint, either.When No. Lehigh did miss, 6-5 sophomore Caleb Johnson was there to recycle the shots. Johnson tallied a game-high 16 points, and seven of his nine caroms were off the offensive glass."Caleb's just a tremendous athlete, and his athleticism is great to have out on the floor for us," noted Miller.Freshman Tyler Dibilio added nine points on three triples.Kurek came off the bench to lead the Raiders with 10 points, while seniors Mike Streisel and Lakitsky added seven and six points, respectively.No. Lehigh made it a sweep with a 66-55 win in the JV game. Josh Pristash (24 points), Darien Middaugh (17) and Josh Eden (10) led the junior Bulldogs, while Tanner Kehl (19 points), Tyler Krell (17) and Erik Smarr (13) topped Tamaqua.Northern Lehigh concludes regular season play hosting Catasauqua on Tuesday, at Palmerton Friday and at Wilson Saturday.
