Liberty Tax Service, 111 E. Broad Street, Tamaqua, will host a roadside benefit party for Harold "H.T." Fryer on Saturday. Feb. 5, from noon to 3 p.m. in the M&T Bank parking lot at the Five Points Intersection of state routes 209 and 309.
Fryer is a 2009 Tamaqua Area High School graduate who was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia while in boot camp with the U.S. Navy.
The public is invited to stop by the benefit party for free hot dogs, popcorn, hot chocolate, coffee and other refreshments. A drawing and bake sale will also be held.
Liberty Tax has pledged to donate $20 from every tax return it prepares on Saturday and Sunday to benefit Fryer.
Liberty Tax is also contacting local businesses seeking donations to the benefit.
