Liquor board citations issued

Four Schuylkill County businesses have been cited by the Allentown enforcement office of the state liquor control board for violations of the liquor code.

AAAMY Inc., trading as The Corner Pub, 239 E. Centre St., Mahanoy City, was cited for permitting smoking in a public place where smoking was prohibited. The alleged violations occurred on July 24, Aug. 21 and Oct. 6, 2010. Also, cited for failure to clean malt or brewed beverage dispensing system at least once every seven days.Bonne L. Weil, trading as The Wagon Wheel, 17-19 E. Main St., Ringtown, was cited for used, permitted to be used on the inside of licensed premises, a loudspeaker or similar device whereby the sound of music or other entertainment, or the advertisement thereof, could be heard outside. The alleged offense occurred on Nov. 27, 2010.Clinton A. Timmins and Traci L. Timmins, trading as Traci's Place, 2200 E. Main St., Sacramento, Hubley Township, was cited for permitted patrons to enter that portion of the premises habitually used for the service of alcoholic beverages between 2:30 and 7 a.m., when licensee did not possess an extended hours food permit. The alleged offense occurred on Nov. 9, 2010.Ridge Road Inn Inc., trading as Ridge Road Inn, 1142 Ridge Rd., Klingerstown, Upper Mahantango Township, was cited for sold, furnished and/or gave or permitted such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to one visibly intoxicated male patron. The alleged offense occurred on Oct. 23, 2010.These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can also imposed a license suspension or revocation of the license based on the severity of the charge.
