Usually by this time of the year the annual migration of the Canadian geese is well past but Saturday the skies were filled with large flocks of the fowl traveling due south. Pilots of both private planes and commercial airlines were heard on the scanner reporting the multitude of the large flocks and the high altitude of the flights to both fellow pilots and towers of nearby airports. The unusual flights began before sunrise and went well into Saturday night.
