Hunter's Hope

This past September, the Fairview Hose Company Social Club held a pig roast and picnic at the Mauch Chunk Rod & Gun Club to benefit Hunter Wolfe who has since lost his battle with cancer.

During a recent visit to the firehouse, the Social Club turned the funds raised over to his family to help defray medical expenses. The monies that the Social Club raised at that fundraiser amounted to a check for $4,237.93.The additional funds raised will also help "Hunter's Hope" a non-profit organization being established by Hunter's mother Kim Sargent in Hunter's memory.Hunter's Hope will help the families of children with cancer cope with the extraordinary expenses that come as a direct result of the child's illness.A hundre percent of all donations will go to the families of children with cancer so the financial strain can be eased on the family so they can focus on taking care of their sick child.Anyone wishing to help out or for more information about "Hunters Hope" can contact Kim Sargent at (570) 401-0833.
