Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on two driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by officers, both occurring on Saturday, Dec. 10.

Police said about 2:09 a.m. officers were dispatched for a erratic driver along SR611 by the Clear Run Campus. Officers observed a vehicle swerving across lanes several times. A traffic stop was made and the driver identified as Kevin M. Stott, 30, of Olyphant, Lackawanna County.

He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then taken to the Pocono Medical Center (PMC), East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.

At 4:20 a.m. police were dispatched to W. Kinney Avenue, in Mount Pocono, for a report of a male attempting to enter the home. On scene police found a vehicle parked in the yard of the caller with a male inside.

The male was identified as Shamel Maneri, 25, of Mount Pocono. Maneri was highly intoxicated and taken into custody. An investigation revealed Maneri thought he was at his home and attempted to go inside.

Maneri was taken to PMC for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.
