A Schuylkill County man was jailed early Saturday following a gun pointing incident.
State police at Schuylkill Haven said Michael Klinger Jr., 34, of the village of Muir, was arrested following the incident that occurred in the area of 44 Main St., Tremont, about 6 a.m.
Troopers allege that Klinger verbally threatened Rahn Erdman, 32, of Tremont. Troopers added that Klinger had a concealed semi-automatic pistol and pulled it out and threatened Erdman's life while pointing the gun at him. Erdman was not injured in the incident, troopers said.
Klinger fled the scene but was later taken into custody without incident. He was charged with aggravated and simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats and firearms not to be carried without a license.
He was arraigned before District Judge Carol Pankake, of Tremont, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $15,000 straight cash bail.
