State police at Frackville reported arresting a Schuylkill County man after he allegedly appeared in a street in the borough of Girardville with a shotgun threatening to shoot people.

Troopers responded to the area of Line and Ogden sts., about 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday to the report of a man with a shotgun.

Upon arrival troopers found Edward Lowell Weyman, 55, of Girardville, having been disarmed by local residents.

He was taken into custody. Witnesses told troopers Weyman had made statements that he was going to kill everyone.

He was taken to the barracks and charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
