The Rush Township Bicentennial Committee will sponsor a Community Day Celebration on Sunday, Aug. 28, at the Township Municipal Building, located on SR 54. Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Activities will include a remote broadcast by Polka Joe Manjack, a Rush township resident; a township historical exhibit; business displays and give aways; a health screening compliments of St. Luke's Health Network; children's activities; and a display of vehicles from the Hometown Fire Company, the Rush Township Police Department and the township's sewer department.

Free refreshments and door prizes will be available and the public is welcome to attend as the township celebrates its 200 birthday.
