Some people like to have their cake and eat it too.

Or, in the case of others, their beer and wine and drink it too.

Guests who attend the fourth annual "Best of Both Worlds" Beer & Wine Festival this Saturday at Blue Mountain Ski Area would surely attest to that.

Held from noon to 5 p.m. at the Valley Lodge, the Beer & Wine Fest will showcase local microbreweries, wineries, distinctive flavors and gracious hospitality.

Blue's Beer & Wine Fest celebrates wine and beer in a casual setting, with magnificent views of the Blue Mountain. The festival will also feature both food and craft vendors lined along the Valley midway, while the band Pair O' Nuts will perform live.

Among the confirmed wineries expected to be in attendance include Sand Castle Winery; Blue Mountain Winery; Starr Hill Vineyard; Shade Mountain Vineyards & Winery; University Wine Company; and the Stonekeep Meadery.

About 600 people are expected to attend the event, said Abigail Stasik, special events coordinator.

"Every year it does get bigger," Stasik said. "Hopefully, it's not going to be too hot."

Stasik said guests who come out will an extensive list of beers and wines to choose from.

"We'll have a pretty good selection," she said. "Hopefully everybody has a good time."

Advance tickets are available via the eStore, and will also be available at the door.
