The Pleasant Valley School District will present the 11th annual Academic Fair from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, April 18.
The fair will highlight the creativity and talents of students and staff through their work within the K-12 curriculum. Students will present and demonstrate projects in a "fair-like" setting.
This program will provide information to parents and community members regarding the rigorous K-12 programs and curriculum opportunities available to students.
The format for the evening is an "open door' on-going presentation of events and activities.l
Projects will be displayed in the gymnasiums, hallways, and classrooms.
Students will be performing in various groups (e.g., band, chorus, etc.), providing continuous entertainment during the evening in the auditorium. A schedule for the groups who will also be performing will be listed in the program provided for the evening.
Dr. Douglas C. Arnold, superintendent, said the district will also be collecting computer systems and peripherals for recycling as a service to the community.
Dr. Arnold said, "The Academic Fair provides an excellent way to learn about our school district. The program is relevant for everyone who lives in the community - especially for parents - since it will provide a wealth of information regarding opportunities for students."
