Jodi Lee Arner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Arner, Palmerton, became the bride of Joshua Cory Smale, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Smale, also of Palmerton, on Oct. 9, 2010 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Palmerton.

The Rev. Jody Neifert performed the double ring ceremony. Randall Perry, Jim Thorpe, was the organist, while Yvonne Caton of Slatington and Lauren Strohl of Palmerton, were the vocalists.Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Danielle Beers as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Regina Ondrasik, Brittany Mazepa, Bethany Rowland, Stormie Jones and Kelli Arner, sister of the bride. Haley Kuehner was the flower girl.Best man duties were performed by Corey Kuehner. Ushers included Matthew Smale and Timothy Smale, brothers of the bridegroom; Lee Arner, brother of the bride; Eric Kuehner; and Jamie Freeby. Gavin Smale, nephew of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.The couple welcomed family and friends at a reception at Memorial Hall in Jim Thorpe, followed by a cruise to the Bahamas.Prenuptial parties for the couple included a rehearsal dinner, held at The Palmerton Hotel.The new Mrs. Smale is a graduate of Palmerton Area High School and a 2010 graduate of East Stroudsburg University. She is employed by Coordinated Health of East Stroudsburg.Mr. Smale is also a graduate of Palmerton Area High School. In 2006 he graduated from Lehigh Carbon Community College. He is employed by Service Electric, Bethlehem.The newlyweds currently reside in Palmerton.
