The Palmerton Youth Wrestling and Cheerleading Association (PYWCA) held their annual awards banquet at the Aquashicola Fire Company. Palmerton finished with its best season ever, finishing in sixth place out of 32 teams in the VEWL varsity tournament. Palmerton was the top Class AA team in the tourney with six place winners. The teams also captured the King of the Ridge title for second year in a row. Wrestlers who received Coaches Awards for the 2010-11 season were, from left, Devin Rivera (Team Spirit), Zach Laubach (Most Improved), Andrew Ringler (Outstanding Wrestler), Jared Mooney (Outstanding JV), Joe Smith (Outstanding Beginner) and Garrett Perschy (Outstanding Beginner). Evan Takerer (Outstanding Exhibition) also received an award.
