Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by officers recently.

A Monroe County woman is facing DUI and other counts following a hit-and-run accident that occurred about 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26, along Center Avenue in Mt. Pocono.Police responded to the area near Oak St. for a report of a sport utility vehicle (SUV) hitting a telephone pole and the driver fleeing the scene. The vehicle was located down an embankment in the area of 28 Center Avenue and a female was found in it.The female was identified as Lillian Valdez, 45, of Mt. Pocono. She was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. She was taken into custody and transported to the Pocono Medical Center (PMC), East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.The DUI charge is pending the test results. She will be charged with leaving the scene of an accident, police added.Also on Sunday, about 3:10 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Country Place Drive and Woodside Drive to assist Pocono Country Place public security on a traffic stop with an intoxicated driver.At the scene officers identified the driver as Milton Edwards III, 24, of Tobyhanna. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then transported to the PMC for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.On Monday, Sept. 27, police responded to a report of an accident on Hamlet Drive in Pocono Farms East, in Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township. On scene officers were advised by witnesses that the occupants of the vehicle had fled the scene. The occupants were later found walking back to the scene of the crash.The driver was identified as Jennifer Lapointe, 21, of Tobyhanna. She was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. A search of her vehicle revealed an open container of alcohol and drug paraphernalia. She was taken to the PMC for a blood test.The DUI charge is pending the test results. She will be charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
